CREATIVE DIRECTOR

Sarah A. Daggett is an outreach and communications strategist based in Washington, D.C., specializing in storytelling that advances civic engagement and social change. Drawing on expertise in strategic communications, audio and video production, community organizing, education, and advocacy, she designs and leads initiatives that translate complex issues into accessible, human-centered narratives.

Originally from New York, Sarah has lived and worked across the United States and Latin America. She has built a decade-long partnership with several Mayan communities in Chiapas, Mexico, grounding her work in cross-cultural collaboration and community-led advocacy.

Sarah has contributed to multiple feature-length social issue documentaries, including the Emmy-nominated The State of ArizonaCarbon Trade-OffCamp Victory: Afghanistan, and Big Bucks, Big Pharma. Her policy expertise spans education, immigration, and climate change. She has developed equity-centered curricula and produced multilingual storytelling projects in English, Spanish, Maya Tzotzil, and Dari.

Her advocacy experience includes campaigns advancing immigrant rights, Indigenous rights, climate action, educational equity, disability rights, and racial justice. Sarah was selected as a 2017 Fellow with the Leadership for Educational Equity Public Leaders Fellowship and a 2018 Fellow with Docs In Progress. She holds a B.A. in History from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and a certificate in Social Impact Strategy from the University of Pennsylvania.
